The Growatt APX 20 kWh battery is aimed at large homes with powerful PV arrays and several major loads where one or even two day/night storage cycles are required.
Compared to 10 or 15 kWh, this capacity allows you to capture much more energy on strong production days, covering night-time use and part of the early-morning demand as well.
It is a strong choice for houses with heat pumps, electric water heating, pools, home offices and continuous appliance use, where the goal is to reach a very high level of independence from the grid.
If you already own or plan to buy an EV, 20 kWh provides enough headroom to combine household consumption with regular EV charging from solar surplus.
