Why choose 15 kWh over other sizes
The Growatt APX 15 kWh battery targets households with 6–8 kWp PV systems and higher energy use, where you want to cover night-time demand and start charging an electric vehicle with surplus solar.
Compared to the 10 kWh version, this model adds a valuable buffer to better capture strong solar peaks on sunny days and provide more stored energy for electric heating and cooling, pool pumps or slow EV charging.
If your home already includes several large loads (heat pump, electric water heater, high-power appliances) and your electricity bills are significant, 15 kWh allows you to store a larger share of daily production and reduce grid imports even further during peak tariff periods.
At the same time, it remains more compact and affordable than the 20–30 kWh options, making it a well-balanced choice for families with one EV and regular daily driving needs.
Thanks to the modular APX design, you can start at 15 kWh and later expand to 20, 25 or 30 kWh without changing the core system if your energy use grows.
