About this product
5 kW solar kit for family homes
The 5 kW solar kit is the most popular choice for detached houses in Spain with 3–4 people, air conditioning and medium to high electricity use. It strikes an excellent balance between cost, production and savings.
With 10 panels rated at 500 W each and a 5 kW inverter, this system is designed to cover roughly 60–80 % of the annual consumption of a typical family home when used correctly. It works very well for households with several appliances, home office and regular AC use.
Why this system?
If your monthly consumption is between around 175 and 466 kWh, the 5 kW kit is often the sweet spot in terms of euros invested per kWh produced. It has enough power to run multiple loads at once during sunny hours.
Compared with the 4 kW kit, it gives you more flexibility for simultaneous loads and heavier summer cooling. Compared with larger systems, it keeps the investment and roof space requirements within what most homes can handle.
As an on‑grid single‑phase system, it integrates easily with existing Spanish home installations. Surplus generation can be compensated in your bill according to your retailer’s conditions, which helps shorten payback time.
Estimated production and savings
The estimated annual production for this 5 kW kit is about 8,250 kWh, which can cover a large share of the electricity needs of a family home under typical Spanish solar conditions. Shifting major loads to solar hours further increases the self‑consumption ratio.
With a reference electricity price close to €0.19/kWh including VAT, the indicative yearly savings are about €936–1,597, leading to an expected payback time of roughly 2.7–4.5 years based on our product data.
Components included
The kit includes 10 Tensite 500W TOPCon N‑Type panels, delivering a total of 5 kW of peak PV power. These high‑efficiency, modern modules are optimised for sunny climates and offer strong long‑term performance.
The inverter is a Growatt MIN 5000TL-XH, a 5 kW single‑phase on‑grid model sized specifically for this generator. It provides monitoring features and is designed for residential self‑consumption in Spain.
The package is supplied with mounting structure for 10 panels, wiring and basic protections so Enera Solar can assemble, commission and legalise the installation correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of home is the 5 kW 1‑phase solar kit ideal for?
It is ideal for family homes with 3–4 people, air conditioning and monthly usage between about 175 and 466 kWh, aiming to cover roughly 60–80 % of yearly consumption.
How much energy does a 5 kW solar kit produce per year?
Estimated annual production is around 8,250 kWh (5 kWp × ~1,650 kWh/kWp), with good orientation, tilt and typical Spanish solar conditions.
What savings and payback can I expect with the 5 kW kit?
At ~€0.19/kWh including VAT, annual savings range from ~€936 with average self-consumption to ~€1,597 if you use almost all the energy, paying back in ~2.7–4.5 years. Use the configurator for the exact figure for your consumption and battery choice.
Can the 5 kW kit handle air conditioning?
Yes, this size is specifically aimed at homes with several appliances and regular AC use. During sunny hours, a large part of this consumption can be covered by solar.
Is it possible to expand beyond 5 kW later?
In many cases it is, but the inverter capacity, roof space and regulations must be checked. Enera Solar can advise on the best expansion strategy for your property.
